Canada’s four provinces Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia released the latest update of this week’s PNP draw. Canada’s four provinces have issued ITA to applicants through the Provincial Nomination program.
IRCC may accept a provincial nomination as the first step toward permanent residency, although it is not the same as a permanent residence application.
Quebec and Nunavut are the only two provinces and territories without a provincial nomination program. Applications for provincial nominations may be invited by these programs. As a province, Quebec manages its immigration policies differently from the federal government.
There are approximately 105,000 PR admissions processed by the PNP per year. Admissions to PNP have been steadily increasing since 1998. As a tool for fostering economic growth outside urban areas, it has the support of both the federal and provincial governments.
