Express Entry doing a commendable job
The COVID-19 pandemic has engulfed the entire country and has disrupted several services as well. However, the IRCC is still conducting Express Entry Draws to welcome new immigrants. Besides, the year 2020 has started off with a boom for the Express Entry Immigration System and it is still doing a praiseworthy job. The first quarter of 2020 yielded great results. There were more ITAs issued in the first quarter this year than there were in the Q1 of the last two years. And, the IRCC has begun to conduct program-specific draws since the implementation of special coronavirus prevention measures. Since March 18, the IRCC has conducted seven program-specific Express Entry Draws and invited candidates belonging to the Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program. In the month of April, the Canadian government has already issued a total of 8,389 ITAs. This shows that the coronavirus pandemic cannot impede Canada’s Immigration Target. And the total number of invitations issued through Express Entry so far this year amounts to 30,989.Expressway to Immigrate to Canada!
The Express Entry system is one of the best immigration programs internationally. It was introduced in 2015 to fast-track the processing times for immigrant visa applications. The Express Entry allows new immigrants to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the following three economy class programs:- Federal Skilled Trade
- Federal Skilled Worker
- Canadian Experience Class
