New Brunswick conducted several provincial immigration selections between August 10 and September 18, issuing a total of 678 invitations to workers in priority occupational groups.
The invitations were issued to workers in:
- Construction.
- Education, social and community services.
- Manufacturing.
- Professional and IT.
- Sales and services.
- Transportation.
- Other trades.
New Brunswick issued the invitations through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) and three streams of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).
Invited candidates can submit a complete application for nomination through the NBPNP or for endorsement through the AIP. After receiving a nomination or endorsement from the province, candidates can apply to the federal government for permanent residence (PR).
Workers endorsed through the AIP can also apply to the federal government for an employer-specific work permit.
Provincial nominees may qualify for a bridging open work permit (BOWP) after submitting their PR application.
Since June 9, 2026, candidates applying for PR through a base PNP stream have been able to apply for a BOWP sooner under a temporary federal measure. The measure allows eligible base PNP applicants to qualify for a BOWP before receiving an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) for their PR application.
Draw Details
Between August 10 and September 18, New Brunswick held six selections. Three selections were conducted through the NBPNP, while three were conducted through the AIP.
Under the NBPNP, New Brunswick invited candidates through the Skilled Worker Stream, Express Entry Stream, and Strategic Initiative Stream.
NBPNP: Skilled Worker Stream
New Brunswick issued 197 invitations under two pathways of the NBPNP Skilled Worker Stream between September 15 and 18.

New Brunswick Graduates Pathway: This pathway is for international graduates of an eligible study program in the province who qualify for a post-graduation work permit. Candidates must be working full time for an eligible provincial employer or have accepted an offer for such a position.
New Brunswick Experience Pathway: This pathway targets individuals already living and working in New Brunswick for an eligible employer. Candidates must have at least six months of full-time work experience with that employer.
NBPNP: Express Entry Stream
On September 17, New Brunswick issued 102 invitations through one pathway of the NB Express Entry Stream.

Employment in New Brunswick pathway: This pathway targets Express Entry candidates who have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months. They must also have worked full time in a TEER 0 – 3 position for a New Brunswick employer during that period.
NBPNP: Strategic Initiative Stream
On September 11, New Brunswick conducted a draw and invited 251 NBPNP candidates through two pathways of the Strategic Initiative Stream.

Francophone Workers In New Brunswick Pathway: This pathway is for French-speaking foreign nationals who work for an eligible provincial employer in a full-time position or have a qualifying job offer. Candidates must either have lived in New Brunswick for at least six months or have received their job offer through a special recruitment mission.
New Brunswick Francophone Priorities Pathway: This pathway targets French-speaking foreign nationals with priority connections to New Brunswick. This can include New Brunswick francophone graduates of eligible post-secondary programs that are at least one year long, as well as candidates invited by Immigration New Brunswick.
New Brunswick no longer reports multi-pathway draw results separately for each pathway. Instead, the province reports the total number of invitations and targeted occupational categories together for the entire draw.
AIP Selections
Between August 10 and September 10, New Brunswick conducted three AIP selections and issued a total of 128 invitations.

AIP: The Atlantic Immigration Program is an employer-led PR pathway for foreign nationals who have a job offer from a designated employer in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, or Prince Edward Island.
The province must endorse the job offer. The foreign national must also meet basic requirements related to language ability, work experience, education, and settlement funds.
