British Columbia has issued nearly 68 invitations through the tech pilot draw on June 1. The province has provided these candidates an opportunity to apply for Canada PR.
Eligible candidates belonged to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories of the BC PNP. The application system of British Columbia is managed by the SIRS (Skills and Immigration Registration System). Skilled workers and International graduates required a minimum score of 80 points as per the provincial points system.
Invited applicants have 30 days to submit their complete application.
What are the eligible occupations for the tech pilot draw?
There are a total of 29 eligible occupations. Some of the eligible occupations listed under the British Columbia Tech Pilot are:
- Computer and Information systems managers;
- Web developers and designers;
- Civil engineers;
- Translators;
- Audio and video recording technicians.
Tech Pilot becomes a permanent program
The British Columbia Tech program was about to end by June this year. However, as per the requests from IT employers in British Columbia, the province has declared Tech Pilot as a permanent program.
The program will now be called British Columbia PNP Tech. And it will be a fast-track immigration pathway for international graduates and talented tech workers.
