Canada has opened the online portal for new immigration streams on May 6, at 12 p.m. EST. The application window is available on the official government webpage.
On May 5, Canada issued an application guide for the 6 immigration streams. The immigration department published the details of required documents and other specific things that candidates would need. If you are an applicant, you are requested to skim through the application guide.
There is a web page specially dedicated to these new streams containing information regarding the eligibility criteria. So, applicants can check their eligibility before applying.
The department expects streams for international students and essential workers to fill up rapidly. Only 90,000 new permanent residents will be admitted through the three immigration streams. However, there is no limit on the intake of immigrants through the pathways dedicated to French speakers.
