Alberta invites agriculture and construction workers, i.e., Alberta has held two new provincial immigration draws, inviting candidates working in the agriculture and construction sectors to apply for a provincial nomination.
The selection rounds took place between July 16 and July 21, 2026, through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). In total, 82 invitations were issued under the Alberta Express Entry Stream for Priority Sectors.
These latest draws bring the total number of AAIP selection rounds held in 2026 to 64.
Latest Draw Details
The two draws focused on workers in Alberta’s priority sectors. Most invitations were issued to candidates working in the construction industry, which received 64.6% of all invitations.

Both draws recorded the highest minimum scores seen so far this year for their respective priority sector categories.
So far in 2026, Alberta has held five targeted draws for construction workers and four for agriculture workers.
According to the AAIP’s latest update published on July 30, Alberta has issued at least 10,828 invitations to candidates through its provincial immigration program this year.
Breakdown Of Alberta’s Provincial Nomination Allocation
The federal government provided Alberta with 6,403 provincial nomination spaces for 2026 through the Provincial Nominee Program.
As of July 30, Alberta had already used 3,892 of those nomination spaces.

In addition to its regular nomination allocation, Alberta also used supplementary nomination spaces to nominate 50 practice-ready physicians and 12 French-speaking candidates.
Worker EOI Pool And Pending Applications
Alberta has also shared updated figures on the number of Worker Expressions of Interest (WEOIs) and applications currently waiting for a final decision.
As of July 30, there were 36,948 WEOIs in the province’s worker pool. Around 62.4% of these profiles were submitted under the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
The province also had at least 1,584 applications waiting to be processed.
