The new immigration draw was held by Alberta on the 12th of October this year.
Express Entry invited 293 candidates were invited for a provincial nomination to apply through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). The minimum score of these candidates were recorded to be as low as 300.
This was the first draw that was held in the month of October. Last month, in September, the province of Alberta had held four draws of Alberta Express Entry Stream that issued 1,610 invitations alone. The base score prerequisite was 300. Since January 2021, Alberta has welcomed 5,910 competitors of Express Entry to apply for the provincial nomination.
It later took a temporary break last year in the ending months of 2020. The draws were held so that the invitations are shot to the candidates in the Express Entry Pool which would give them a chance to apply for a provincial nomination. Receiving a provincial nomination certificate ensures an ITA to the candidates who can be eligible for permanent residence in Canada.
As far as 2021 is concerned, Alberta is sanctioned to issue 6,250 provincial nomination certifications to candidates.
