Ontario has conducted the biggest Expression of Interest Draw on 13th July. The province invited as many as 1,685 candidates through Ontario’s Employer Job Offer immigration category.
The OINP invited foreign workers, international students, and immigration candidates who have a job offer in rural communities of Ontario. This is the greatest number of invitations issued by the province in 2021. Therefore, this is the largest OINP draw so far this year.
Foreign Worker Stream
The province issued 1,211 invitations to candidates under the Foreign Worker Stream. Candidates invited through this stream required an EOI score of a minimum of 33 points. In this draw, there was no list of targeted occupations. And there was no preference for any specific location.
This stream is open to those candidates who have a genuine job offer in Ontario. Applicants need not be present in Canada while applying through the Foreign Worker Stream.
International Student Stream
The province invited 431 international students registered in the Expression of Interest system. Invited candidates required an EOI score of 62 points or higher as per the International Student Stream.
You need to have a job offer for this stream, an intent to live in the province, and a degree from a Canadian DLI (Designated Learning Institution).
Regional Immigration Pilot
In this OINP draw, the province of Ontario invited 43 immigration candidates who belong to the Regional Immigration Pilot. Candidates were eligible through both the Employer Job Offer categories.
Ontario can nominate 150 candidates through the Regional Immigration Pilot in 2021. Three communities of the province that are participating in this pilot are:
- Chatham-Kent;
- Quinte West/Belleville;
- Cornwall.
How to submit a complete PNP application?
The province has released guidelines on how to submit the complete applications for a provincial nomination. Candidates applying to the OINP through the Employer Job Offer category need to provide the printed PDF of an attestation form. Without the submission of the attestation form, the province will not accept the application.
