Canada has invited 6,000 Canadian Experience Class immigration candidates in the latest Express Entry Invitation Round. Invited candidates can now apply for permanent residence in the country.
In this EE Draw, the Comprehensive Ranking System score required has gone down. CEC candidates with a score of 368 or higher received an ITA for Canada PR.
Applicants invited in this draw had to meet all eligibility requirements for the Canadian Experience Class. The primary requirement was to have at least a year of work experience in a skilled occupation. Also, candidates need to be proficient in either English or French.
As per the tie-break rule, applicants must have submitted their express entry profiles before 28/04/2021 at 05:45:14 UTC.
IRCC prioritizing people living in Canada
All the express entry draws held in the last six months have focussed on candidates living in Canada. IRCC has issued ITAs to immigration candidates belonging to the Express Entry – Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program.
With the current travel ban, applicants who received the Confirmation of Permanent Residence after 18th March 2020, cannot travel. Therefore, Canada is issuing invitations to candidates who are already staying in the country as temporary residents.
The government of Canada has confirmed no date for the reopening of borders. However, IRCC will ease the restrictions soon. The health minister has stated that essential travelers who have received vaccination for COVID-19 might not need to quarantine upon arrival in Canada.
