In the past week, PEI – (Prince Edward Island) and Ontario have invited candidates to apply through the latest PNP draw.
Almost all of Canada’s territories and provinces run their own Provincial nomination program, except for Nunavut and Quebec. They might extend invitations to candidates who are considering using these programs to submit an application for provincial nomination. The provincial nomination can then be used to apply for provincial nomination on the basis of that nomination. This application is different from the application for permanent residence itself from IRCC.
Québec administers its immigration policies separately from the federal government. Immigration from all economic classes is governed only by Quebec.
As a result of the PNP, over 80,000 PR admissions are made every year. With its creation in 1998, the PNP has steadily grown in Canada each year. It is useful for fostering the country’s economic growth outside its heavily immigrant-populated provinces and urban areas, as both the federal and provincial governments see it as a useful tool.
Latest PNP draw results of 20th October to 29th October
Ontario
During the October 25 intake, 535 applicants from the Master’s Graduate Stream were accepted into the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidate scores had to be at least 35.
In addition, 106 Ph.D. students had been invited to participate in the program and secured a minimum score of 24. Neither stream had drawn since August 30.
It is necessary for candidates to meet these minimum eligibility requirements, which include:
- An Ontario university master’s degree is required.
- An English or French CLB level 7 is required.
- Having lived legally in Ontario for two years is required.
A large number of new immigrants arrive in Ontario each year, making it the most populous province in Canada. In addition, the PNP has the highest number of application invitations. Ontario set an aim to issue 9750 invitations in 2022.
Prince Edward Island
According to Prince Edward Island, 204 invitations were sent on 20 October to Express Entry and labor stream. As well as 10 invitations were issued through BWPE – (Business Work Permit Entrepreneur) stream. Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates had to get at least 72.
If you’re interested in being considered for PEI PNP nomination through Express Entry, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
In Express Entry, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) rates EOI profiles, and a monthly lottery selection process is used to select the highest-scoring applicants.
The PEI PNP conducts monthly draws.
