BC and Manitoba extend invitations to provincial nominees – April 6th-12th
British Columbia
A minimum of 88 invitations for permanent residence were recently issued by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) through its Skilled Worker, International Graduate stream, which includes the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option. This stream is tailored for foreign graduates who possess a legitimate job offer from a British Columbian business. It is specifically intended for individuals who have completed their studies at one of the province’s universities or colleges within the last three years.
Candidates with professional expertise in jobs that the province recognized as desirable were invited to apply. Interestingly, among these in-demand careers were:
- Childcare professionals were required to attain a minimum score of 90 to receive invitations.
- Construction professionals needed to achieve a minimum score of 95 to be invited.
- Healthcare professionals were expected to obtain a minimum score of 95.
- Tech professionals had to reach a minimum score of 116.
- Veterinary care professionals needed a minimum score of 80 to qualify for invitations.
Moreover, including the EEBC option indicates that this is a provincial nomination stream that has been improved. Enhanced streams, synchronized with the Express Entry management system, allow individuals in the Express Entry pool to be invited to apply for permanent residence in a province. Also, this process facilitates the integration of skilled workers into provincial communities.
Manitoba
More than 350 qualified candidates received invitations to apply from the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
Furthermore, the MPNP sent 276 invitations to people working in in-demand jobs in the province under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, more precisely the Occupation-specific selection stream, which is a part of the Manitoba Work Experience pathway.
- Occupations under code 33102 include nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates.
- Occupations categorized as 60020 involve retail and wholesale trade managers.
- Workers falling under Group 731 are those engaged in general construction trades.
Canada uses the NOC system as a uniform method for categorizing jobs across the country.
Furthermore, 87 individuals received invites from the MPNP via the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. As well as, candidates needed to confirm their invitation from the MPNP through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative to be chosen for this round. Additionally, they were required to achieve a minimum score of 691.
Out of the total 363 invitations sent out through these two programs, 81 were extended to applicants who also disclosed having a valid Express Entry profile. This underscores the enhanced quality of both streams.
