Apply for Ontario Regional Immigration Pilot Now

Ontario has started accepting applications for the Regional Immigration Pilot. This pilot will help Ontario’s communities attract foreign talent. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program will accept the applications for this pilot. This pilot will run for a period of two years and will be able to nominate 150 candidates for permanent residence. In the face of Regional Immigration Pilot, Ontario has provided a new pathway to individuals who wish to settle in Ontario. The following three communities of Ontario are participating in the Regional Immigration Pilot:

Chatham-Kent
Quinte West/Belleville
Cornwall

These three communities are facing huge shortages of skilled workers and are unable to encourage permanent settlement. Therefore, the OINP has chosen these locations for this pilot. Also, candidates applying for the OINP’s regional pilot are required to have valid job offers located in the above mentioned three communities. The objective of this pilot is to welcome skilled immigrants in the rural communities of Ontario and connect them with local employers for jobs.

Employer Job Offer Category

It is one of the categories in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. Applicants must have a job offer if they apply to OINP through one of the streams of the Employer Job Offer category. These are the three streams under the Employer Job Offer:

Foreign Worker Stream, immigration stream for skilled foreign workers
International Student Stream, for students who recently graduated from a post-secondary institution of Ontario
In-Demand Skills Stream, for occupations belonging to specific sectors.
