As per the new instructions released by Canada, it is mandatory that immigration candidates submit their temporary resident visa applications online.
Candidates applying for study permits, work permits, and temporary resident visas will have to submit their applications online between 1st July and 30th September.
IRCC has stated that it won’t accept any paper-based temporary resident visa applications between the period mentioned. The ministry will return such applications to the applicant along with the processing fee.
However, if an individual is unable to carry out the application process online due to a valid disruption, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) will do its part to provide assistance to the individual.
Canada has enacted this policy to process immigration applications smoothly even when the IRCC is working with reduced staff and limited operations.
As of now, Canada is allowing only work permit holders to enter the country provided that their travel is non-optional.
