Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Canada has conducted program-specific express entry draws only. It invited Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class candidates.
Experts predicted that Canada will start holding all program express entry draws by July. Falling in line with the predictions, Canada has conducted express entry draw on July 8 inviting candidates from all programs – FSW, FST, CEC, and PNP.
It is good news for skilled workers as they were eagerly waiting for the express entry draw and Canada has now restarted issuing ITAs to candidates belonging to the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
A total of 3,900 express entry candidates are given invitations to apply for Canada PR. And the invited candidates needed to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 478 points.
It is the 22nd Express Entry Invitation Round of 2020. With this draw, the express entry system has set a new record for this date by issuing a total of 53,800 invitations to immigration candidates. In 2017, till this point of the year, Canada invited 51,825 candidates.
The tie-break date and time applied by the IRCC are February, 11, at 13:08:31 UTC. So, candidates who had a CRS score of 478 and higher and had submitted their profiles before the tie-break date and time received ITAs in this draw.
It is a perfect time now to initiate the Canada pr process as the IRCC has started conducting the regular express entry draws.
