The latest round of the draw was conducted on November 1.
MPNP- Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program solicited 421 applicants for immigration in the following three categories.
- International Education Stream- 33 invitations and no score requirements
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba- 350 invitations and score of at least 460
- Skilled Workers Overseas- 38 invitations and a score requirement of 713
Amidst the invitations, 75 of them were sent out to the candidates for Express Entry.
Express Entry
Canada’s application management system for the three federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal skilled worker all these are listed under Express Entry.
The immigrants who have submitted a profile under Express Entry are positioned on the basis of their grades in the Comprehensive Ranking System. The grades are given on the basis of the candidate’s work experience, language skills, age, and education. Candidates with the highest grade are sent out invitations for PR.
It’s quite possible to skip the Provincial Nominee Program process and still receive a PR invitation through the Express Entry. But provincial nominee scores you 600 CRS scores automatically, which means it has the guarantee of you receiving an ITA.
The immigration programs in Manitoba
The province of Manitoba manages the immigrations programs by itself, which supports the immigration applications right up to the federal government. The Canadian government cannot hand over the PR status, however, they can still help with an application to move along by issuing provincial nominees.

Foreign applicants may have to show the ties they have in the province. The candidate doesn’t need to be in the province while the application is being processed.
To receive an invitation for the skilled workers under the Manitoba category, you have to be employed full-time with an offer letter from an employer in the province.
International students who have graduated in the province can directly receive an invitation under the international education stream if they are able to show the skills they have earned
