Many Express Entry applicants want to get permanent residency status in Canada in 2021. You can apply for Canadian Permanent Residency using the Express Entry program and the various PNPs. In the Federal Express Entry System, IRCC has a point-based system by which they choose eligible skilled workers using the express entry system. There are three main economic immigration pathways under the Express Entry program
- Federal Skilled Trade Program
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal skilled workers
The first criteria to select candidates is to evaluate the eligibility of applicants for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). Applicants must score a min of 67/100 points. They get these points on the basis of their age, educational qualification, work experience, and language efficiency to apply in the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). There is no change in points eligibility criteria for the FSWP. To qualify under this program you require 67 points out of 100 in 2021. Once you get an entry in the Express Entry System pool. The (IRCC) Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada organize a draw to announce the cut-off of the CRS score.

The qualification score was reduced to 468 points last year. In 2021 the IRCC opened the specific Express Entry draws.

The four draws were organized in the first month of 2021 with special draws in which IRCC invited only Provincial Nomination program candidates and Canadian Experience Class(CEC) candidates. Most draws were not organized for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) candidates of the federal Express Entry System.
IRCC has a huge immigration target for this year so the numbers of ITA will increase this year and hopefully the CRS score requirement will be relatively lower than the previous years.

As you already know that you will receive ITA on the basis of your CRS score. you get your CRS score on the basis of you
- Age,
- Education,
- Work experience,
- Language skills
The Canadian government has a high immigration target such as 401,000 and 108,500 for 2021. The CRS score will significantly reduce in 2021. It is not possible to predict to a certain degree of likelihood for Express Entry draws. We should keep ourselves upgraded with all important documentation and continue to improve our CRS score.
How to improve your CRS score to gain Canada permanent residency
You can increase your CRS score by getting 600 additional points but you have to get nominated by a province in Canada by applying through a Provincial Nominee Program. In the PNPs program, IRCC invites those candidates who have low CRS score and allow them to apply for permanent residency status in Canada. If you are selected in the Express Entry program which is connected to PNP then you will get additional 600 points. Alberta PNP invites the candidates with low CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) for just 300 points.
