Saskatchewan has invited 248 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the latest Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program draw. The province held the draw on March 11 and invited candidates who belong to the International Skilled Worker category of the SINP.
Of the 248 candidates invited, 72 will be eligible to get the provincial nomination through the Express Entry stream, and the remaining 176 through the Occupations In-Demand stream of the ISW.
Also, invited candidates required an Expression of Interest score of a minimum of 71 in both subcategories. In addition, candidates had to submit their Educational Credential Assessment report to prove that their foreign education matches the standard of Canadian education.
Please note: In 2020, Saskatchewan made significant changes to its Points Assessment Grid by giving more points to candidates who can speak French and English.
Further, candidates invited through the in-demand occupations subcategory required work experience in one of the listed in-demand occupations such as community service workers, educational counselors, purchasing agent and officers among other.
Immigrants who want to start a new life in Canada abundant with opportunities can consider immigrating to Saskatchewan. Also, Saskatchewan has a considerably low unemployment rate. So, it is easier for new immigrants to get a job in the province.
