This past week, Manitoba and British Columbia issue their PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) draw results, and Ontario releases the draw result for the month of May.
Most Provinces and territories of Canada conduct their own PNP draws. Interested candidates get invited to apply for the nomination of provincial through this draw. The chances of getting permanent residency status in Canada will increase for the PNP nominated candidates but the provincial nomination is not the same as the permanent residence.
For example, those PNP candidates who have profiles in the Express Entry system get 600 extra points that are automatically added to their score. They are also eligible to get invitations to apply for the PNP-specific round by the province. The latest PNP draw was conducted on 27 May, in this draw, a total of 589 PNP candidates get a chance to apply for the provincial nomination. To get this opportunity candidates to have to score more than or equal to 741 in CRS (Compressive Ranking System).
British Columbia PNP draw
British Columbia conducts their PNP invitation round every week. The last draw was conducted on 31st May. In this draw, more than 167 candidates received invitations to apply for the provincial nomination of the province.
There are 137 candidates who were invited via a common draw held by the province. Invited candidates must be qualified for one of the BC Express Entry or Skills Immigration requirements categories. These categories are managed through the SIRS (Skills and Immigration Registration system).
Invited candidates were from the subcategories of Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled, Skilled worker, and Internation Graduate, and to get selected they have to score between 76 to 123, it depends on the requirement according to stream.
Also, the province is conducting invitation rounds for those candidates who are qualified for the labor needs in particular departments of the economy of Canada in particular professions. The data of invited candidates by the province are given below:
- A total of 15 teachers of early childhood (NOC 4214) with a minimum score of 60 in the CRS system.
- A total of 5 healthcare workers are invited with a minimum score of 60.
- 5 healthcare assistants (NOC 3413) are invited who scored a minimum of 60. And
- Less than 5 animal technologists of health and veterinarians (NOC 3114 and NOC 3213) are invited who may score a minimum of 60.
Manitoba PNP draw
There are 146 candidates who were invited in the latest draw conducted by Manitoba on 2 June. These invitations were divided into two migration streams that are: International Education Stream (IES), and Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO). There are 92 candidates who were invited through the SWO (Skilled Worker Overseas) stream with a minimum score of 714 and a total of 54 candidates were invited through the IES (International Education Stream) with no score reequipment.
34 candidates who were invited to this draw have registered their profiles in the pool of the Express Entry system. Those candidates who want to get nominated from Manitoba have to create an account in EOI with the MPNP. The province of Manitoba ranks the profile of candidates out of the 1000 points which are based on the human capital factors as well as their connections with the province. Qualified candidates may get an invitation through MPNP and be eligible to apply for a provincial nomination under the given streams like Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWSM) and Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO).
Ontario PNP draw
Ontario has temporarily paused releasing the results of its PNP draw due to a provincial election under the OINP (Ontario Immigrants Nomination Program).
According to the released data, the province of Ontario conducted two draws in the month of May.
There are 57 candidates who were invited from the pool of Expression of Interest (EIO) on 4 May. Invited candidates are qualified for the employer’s job requirements of In-Demand Skill Stream with a minimum score of 27 and more.
The second draw was conducted on 26 May in which 535 candidates received invitations from notification of interest who are eligible for Express Entry Skilled Trade Stream of Ontario and scored between 295 to 461 in the CRS system.
