Alberta, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island, the three provinces in Canada, held their PNP draws last week to invite the candidates to apply for PR.
Except for Nunavut and Quebec, Canada’s other provinces and territories organize Province Nominee draw and invite candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
Although the provincial nomination and permanent residence are different aspects, it can help the individual to take one more step closer to a Canadian citizenship visa.
Express Entry pools PNP candidates receive 600 score points when they receive an invitation. With a hike of 600 points, the chances of getting invitations from PNP-specific rounds also increase.
Last week, Canada invited a total of 924 PNP candidates in its Express Entry draw. The candidates with a minimum of 754 CRS score got the invitation.

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program Results:
In its AAIP draw, the province Alberta sent 350 invitations to the candidates of Express Entry on March 8 to apply for the Alberta Express Entry stream.
To be nominated, a candidate must obtain a minimum CRS score of 318. With this invitation, candidates can apply for Provincial nominations from the same province.
For a candidate to qualify for the Alberta Express Entry stream, they must have some experience related to the eligible job.
The candidate can only apply for the occupations according to the details provided by the Alberta Immigration Program.
AAIP Provided a list that contains the occupations that will not be considered in the province. Thus, candidates can apply for the jobs not mentioned in that particular list.
Eligibility criteria for Alberta Express Entry stream:
The candidate must have work experience to get nominated for the Alberta Program. They may also consider the candidate if he has completed his studies in Canada or has a job offer in Alberta Province.
The chances to get a nomination also increase if any of the candidate’s family members, including parent, child, or sibling already living in Alberta.
In addition to above all, the candidate must fulfill the Express Entry’s eligibility requirements. According to which 300 was the minimum required by the candidate to get the PN invitation.
Lastly province may consider the application if it expresses the candidate’s desire to get Alberta’s citizenship.
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Result
On March 14, BC PNP organized its weekly invitation round in which it invited nearly 175 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
Out of 175 BC candidates, 123 get the invitation via British Colombia Tech Draw.
Tech draws in British Columbia invite candidates who meet one or more of the requirements of Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories, managed by SIRS.
Skilled Workers and International Graduate candidates got most of the invitations, having a minimum score of 85.
BC organized three different rounds of invitations for candidates belonging to targeted jobs.
Under these categories, BC invited 27 Professional childhood teachers and 21 professional doctors, having a minimum score of 85.
The childhood teachers were invited to apply for sub-categories such as skilled workers and international graduates.
The skilled worker, the international graduate, entry-level, or semi-skilled sub-categories are some categories professional doctors can apply for.
The province also invited five health care assistants to apply for its entry-level and semi-skilled categories. The health care assistants with a minimum score of 63 were invited.
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program Result
On March 17, a total of 141 candidates were invited by the PEI PNP.
Most of the candidates who received the invitation belong to the Express and Labour Impact Program, comprising 130 individuals.
Sixty-two provincial scores were the minimum required score, according to which 11 Business Impact candidates got the invitation.
PEI has released the schedule for the upcoming year in advance as it conducts an average of one draw per month.
