Ontario, BC, and Manitoba announce this week’s PNP draw results, issuing nominations to candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs.
This week, applicants were asked to submit applications through particular PNP streams. Their employment history, vocational expertise, and educational background all played a role in the selection process. Every immigration stream provides a different route to permanent residency, and some of them have sub streams that concentrate on particular areas of a candidate’s history, such work or education.
It is not possible to compare scores between provinces because different PNPs employ different scoring methodologies to establish eligibility.
Because they work with the federal Express Entry system, some PNP streams are deemed “enhanced” and are eligible to nominate applicants from the federal immigration pool.
Furthermore, candidates for Express Entry may receive an additional 600 CRS points with a nomination certificate from a PNP, greatly boosting their chances of being granted an ITA via the Express Entry system.
