Ontario, BC, Alberta, and Quebec issued latest PNP draw results through their respective provincial immigration programs.
Every Canadian province and territory, with the exception of Nunavut and Quebec, has a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). These programs are especially made to pick talented economic immigrants who are most likely to positively impact the local economy, in order to address labor market needs and demographic challenges.
There isn’t a provincial nominee program in Nunavut. Rather, it depends on alternative immigration routes to meet its requirements.
Conversely, Quebec has a different relationship with the federal government. Thanks to this special arrangement, Quebec is able to autonomously administer its own immigration policy and has complete authority over its economic immigration processes. Consequently, Quebec is not a part of the PNP system that other provinces and territories use.
