5000 Canadian Experience Class Candidates receive ITAs. In a recent Express Entry the draw, 5,000 individuals received ITAs from IRCC. IRCC’s mission to honor talented workers who are already making a positive contribution to the Canadian workforce, this draw was only available to members of the Canadian Experience Class. In order to be considered for this round of invites, candidates had to have a minimum score of 510 on the CRS.
In an effort to support the nation’s economic development and progress, the IRCC is concentrating on making permanent residency easier for people who have worked in Canada. This most recent draw is indicative of this focus. Choosing 5,000 candidates for the Canadian Experience Class is a big step towards bringing in more qualified workers to Canada.
IRCC Issues 25,125 ITAs in July Express Entry Draws
The ninth draw of an already-active month for Express Entry takes place today. Over the course of July, 25,125 ITAs were distributed by the IRCC.
Program-specific drawings, such the Provincial Nominee Program and the Canadian Experience Class, have alternated with category-based selection draws this month.
Candidates with French language competency received the majority of the 5,000 ITAs awarded in category-based draws, which took place over two rounds. Moreover, on July 5 and July 4, respectively, the IRCC granted 3,750 ITAs to candidates in the healthcare industry and 1,800 ITAs to candidates in trade sectors.
Additionally, ITAs have been awarded in program-specific drawings in a sizable number. As of July 31, 3,275 candidates were invited under the PNP and 11,300 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class by the IRCC. Applicants for both programs frequently already have temporary residency status in Canada and work there. After a full year without program-specific draws, they will resume on May 30. This is in line with the IRCC’s previously declared goal of holding more domestic draws.
In order to reach its targets for permanent residents as stated in the Immigration Levels Plan and to decrease and stabilize the number of temporary residents in Canada, the IRCC announced a new goal in March of this year.

Understanding Canada’s Express Entry System
The Federal Skilled Worker Program, the CEC, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are just a few of the well-known economic immigration initiatives in Canada that are run via the Express Entry system. This mechanism is essential to enabling immigration of skilled workers to Canada.
A vital route for qualified people hoping to immigrate to Canada is through Express Entry. It uses the CRS to assess applicants according to several human capital components. These variables include age, education, occupation, work experience, and language ability. Each of these components adds to the candidate’s overall CRS rating.
The CRS score assesses a candidate’s ability to enhance Canada’s workforce and demographics through a composite metric. A higher CRS score increases an applicant’s chances of receiving an ITA for permanent residence.
Furthermore, Express Entry aims to expedite the immigration process for highly talented immigrants with a goal of a six-month processing time.
Understanding Category-Based Selection in Express Entry
In May 2023, IRCC introduced category-based selection draws to address Canada’s current needs for specific skills and qualifications. This decision followed extensive consultations with both internal and external stakeholders. The chosen categories include occupations in healthcare, STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and contracting, transportation roles, positions in agriculture and agri-food, and roles for French speakers. These categories will shape the selection process for the rest of 2024, with potential adjustments for the coming year.
