More people inclined to immigrate to Canada between April & August

As per a new survey conducted by the World Education Services (WES), more people have become interested between the months of April and August this year to immigrate to Canada. WES provides credential evaluations for immigrants and international students planning to move to Canada. It has recently surveyed several candidates and analyzed nearly 27,930 responses for this new report. Also Read: PEI sent 254 invitations to candidates through the latest PNP draw According to the findings by the WES, it has surfaced that between April and August 2020, interest in people for Canadian immigration has increased, the number of prospective immigrants who want to delay their immigration process has reduced, and immigrants expect economic conditions in Canada to be better than their those of their home country. The respondents in this new survey held by the WES include citizens of India, Nigeria, the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries.

The economic situation is better in Canada

Respondents in the survey believe that due to the pandemic the economic conditions are worse in their home country than in Canada. 80 percent of the people surveyed agree that they expect to see negative conditions in their country of origin. Thus, a large number of prospective immigrants want to immigrate to Canada for a promising future.

Economic constraints could not reduce interest in immigration

Most of the prospective immigrants still have an interest in immigrating to Canada despite the immigration costs and economic hardship. Around 38 percent of respondents said that their financial hardships are one of the reasons for their growing interest to move to Canada for better opportunities.

No job availability due to COVID-19

Several respondents have the opinion that COVID-19 has negatively impacted the job sector in both Canada and their home countries. However, 60 percent of the respondents believe that the negative impact of the pandemic on the availability of jobs is higher in their home countries. Economic recession, not a hindrance

Almost half of the respondents agree that an economic crisis in Canada would not impact their decision of immigration. And about 49 percent of the people surveyed said that economic recession in their home countries will make them more interested to move to Canada.

Maximum interest was shown by Philippines respondents

Nearly 71 percent of the people surveyed were from the Philippines who displayed an increased interest in moving to Canada. The Philippines is also one of the top five source countries for Canadian immigration.
