Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, and Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Industry have recently written in an article about the significance of immigration for the economy of Canada. Mendicino believes that Canada is implementing innovative immigration policies that will foster “Canada’s success in the 21st century”. Both Ministers consider Immigration crucial for the economic development of the country. In their latest article, they have discussed that Canada provides several opportunities for new immigrants and enables them to succeed. Canada flashes a positive immigration cycle wherein the country helps to fulfill the dreams of newcomers and in turn, immigrants promote economic development in the country. Both ministers acknowledge that Canada has several immigration programs that attract immigrants, international students, and skilled workers.

For instance, the government of Canada started the Global Talent Stream three years ago. This stream has helped the government to attract a large number of tech workers to come to Canada.
