Canada invites PNP candidates in the 3rd Express Entry Draw

Canada has sent out invitations to 374 express entry candidates in the third draw of 2021 held on 20th January. The IRCC has invited only those candidates who already had a provincial nomination from one of the Canadian provinces. Invited candidates required a minimum score of 741 points. Since they already had 600 points owing to the provincial nomination, they required only 141 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System score. Canada has now invited 5,374 candidates in the last three draws. And it is assumed that the IRCC will conduct another CEC-specific draw soon.

Tie-Break Date and Time

In every express entry invitation round, there is a tie-break date and time in order to rank candidates with similar CRS scores. In this draw, the IRCC has set September 5, 2020, at 19:39:04 UTC as the tie-break date and time.

CRS score reduced

In the previous PNP-specific draw held in the first week of January, the minimum required CRS score was 813. So, in this draw, the cut-off CRS score has dropped significantly with the requirement of 741 points only.

Express Entry Immigration System

The Express Entry allows new immigrants to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the following three economy class programs:

Federal Skilled Trades

Federal Skilled Worker

Canadian Experience Class

Apart from these, the nine provinces and two territories of Canada have at least one express entry aligned stream belonging to their Provincial Nominee Programs. Immigration candidates can get a Canada PR by applying through the express entry aligned streams of the PNPs. A provincial nomination helps to secure an ITA for Canadian Permanent Residence. Therefore, an applicant should not miss an opportunity to secure a nomination.
