The province of British Columbia has invited 72 Tech Skilled Workers in the latest British Columbia Tech Pilot draw. Candidates who have work experience in the IT sector can secure a BC provincial nomination.
Further, prospective immigrants who have received invitations through the tech draw need to meet the eligibility requirements for either Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration categories of the BC PNP.
In this PNP draw, the province has invited applicants registered under the International Graduate and Skilled Worker categories, and they had a provincial score of at least 80 points.
Now, British Columbia has given 30 calendar days to the invited candidates to submit their complete application for nomination. The province has already invited 5,321 candidates through various immigration programs of the BC PNP.
Tech Pilot becomes a permanent program
The tech pilot was about to end in June this year and the province did not provide a one-year extension. Instead, it declared it a permanent program. The province has renamed the tech pilot BC PNP Tech.
The pilot program has been a great success among tech immigrants as it welcomed over 6,000 immigrants for provincial nomination.
So, looking at the success of the pilot project, the IT employers requested the province to make it a permanent immigration program.
