The latest BC Draw – Tech Pilot
British Columbia conducted its latest Tech Pilot Draw draw on April 7. A candidate needed a minimum score of 85 to obtain an invitation in this Tech Draw. What is a Tech Pilot Draw?
In light of the rising demand of talented workers, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program launched a Tech Pilot in 2017 and later extended it to June 2020. The province introduced this pilot with a motive to accelerate the growth of the technological sector. The Tech Pilot enables Canadian employers to hire foreign skilled workers and international graduates who can address the tech market needs. Thus, British Columbia conducts a separate draw to invite candidates who have skills and experience in the key occupations of the technological sector.Entrepreneurs invited in the April 6 Draw
Another draw was held on April 6 that invited candidates belonging to the Entrepreneur Immigration category of the British Columbia PNP. In this draw, 18 entrepreneurs were invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence. The minimum required score to secure an ITA was 107 points, which is higher than the score of tech pilot. 62 candidates have been invited by British Columbia this year through the five draws of this Regional Pilot category.311 Invitations issued by BC in another draw
