Express Entry BC
The Express Entry stream of British Columbia provides a faster route to immigrate to Canada since it is associated with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates are invited through a points-based system and can apply to the BC PNP under the following categories of the Express Entry BC:-
- Skilled Workers;
- International Graduates;
- International post-graduates
Skills Immigration
The other immigration stream of the BC PNP is Skills Immigration. This immigration stream is for skilled workers and semi-skilled workers who want to work in high-demand occupations. First, a candidate must register himself/herself under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the British Columbia PNP. Then, he/she need to create a profile through the online portal in either of the categories – Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC. Candidates who apply through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories of BC are given points based on human capital factors as well as economic factors. The candidates are awarded points based on the following factors:- Skill level of the job offer
- Minimum wage
- Location of the employment
- Candidate’s education, work experience, and language ability
