Alberta is home to two of the popular cities: Calgary and Edmonton. Several immigrants make their homes in Alberta each year. The province nominates candidates for Permanent Residence through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.
Alberta has issued 250 invitations to Express Entry immigration candidates in the latest draw held by the province. The AINP set the cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300 which is the lowest since May 2020. So, express entry candidates required a CRS score of 300 and higher in order to receive invitations by the province of Alberta.
In 2020, Alberta had the allocation of 6,250 nomination certificates. However, the province issued only 4,000 nominations due to the lockdown and travel restrictions. In the second half of the year, Alberta did not conduct any draw as the province already issued 4,000 invitations by June 2020.
Alberta has not released the number of allocations for provincial nominations this year yet.
