British Columbia PNP held a new draw by inviting 100 candidates

British Columbia has been actively conducting regular draws even during the pandemic. The province held a Provincial Nominee Program draw on October 20. It has invited 100 immigration candidates through the BC Provincial Nominee Program. The province of British Columbia is known to offer a high standard of living. It is a growing economy that has opened up jobs in various sectors. The British Columbia PNP sent 80 invitations under the Skilled Worker and International Graduates categories of the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams. In each category, candidates required a provincial score of 80 to receive an invitation from the province and apply for a British Columbia provincial nomination. The province issued 20 invitations to people registered with the Entrepreneur Immigration program. Out of the 20 invitations, 15 went to the Base Category of Entrepreneur program and 5 people were invited through the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot. For the base category, Candidates required a minimum provincial score of 122 and for the Regional Pilot, candidates with a score of 109 received invitation. British Columbia PNP held its largest draw of 2020 on September 29 by issuing 450 invitations.

Express Entry BC:

Candidates who apply for the BC PNP through the Express Entry BC stream must have an express entry profile. In addition, they must register themselves with the Skills Immigration Registration System. However, candidates who are applying to the PNP under the Skills Immigration stream do not need to have a mandatory express entry profile. They only have to register with SIRS of the province. The SIRS provides a score to applicants based on certain factors such as education, language proficiency, work experience, and job location. The other immigration stream of the BC PNP is Skills Immigration. Skilled workers, International Graduates, and Post-graduates can apply through this stream if they are not linked with the express entry immigration system. If applicants get a provincial nomination from British Columbia, they can apply to the IRCC for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program.

Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category:

The BC PNP provides a different stream for entrepreneurs to immigrate to British Columbia and establish their business there. Entrepreneur candidates are selected based on various factors such as their education, business experience, business idea, net worth, and total investment.

Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot:

It was launched in 2019 to provide a pathway for immigration to those foreign nationals who are looking to start a new business in the smaller communities spread across British Columbia. British Columbia wants those candidates, who can settle in the province and operate a business that can provide benefits to the economy of British Columbia.
