French-speaking candidates get a chance to live in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia has sent invitations to French-speaking candidates to secure a provincial nomination. Candidates with express entry profiles were eligible to receive invitations by Nova Scotia in the PNP draw. Who got invitations?

Candidates with Express Entry profiles who had French as their first language received the invitation through this PNP draw. In addition, they required to show a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of at least 9 in all language abilities of French. Also, they needed to have a CLB score of a minimum of 7 in the English language. Further, a bachelor’s degree or a three-year program was another mandatory requirement. So, express entry candidates who fulfilled all these requirements were eligible to receive invitations from the province.

Labor Market Priorities Stream

Nova Scotia invites candidates through this express entry-linked stream of the NSNP. This stream helps the province to meet the labor market needs by inviting candidates from specific occupations. Nova Scotia Nominee Program was launched in 2018. And since then, it has conducted a total of 16 draws under the Labor Market Priorities Stream. Some of the occupations included under this steam are financial auditors, carpenters, nurses, childhood education workers, accountants, programmers, and other professionals. Nova Scotia offers a good living standard. If you are selected from the pool of express entry candidates through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program, you should apply for provincial nomination at the earliest. After securing a provincial nomination, you will be awarded 600 extra points in your CRS score. This can ultimately increase your chance to secure Canadian Permanent Residency.
