Tech Draw: British Columbia Issues 74 Invitations

British Columbia has invited 74 tech candidates in the latest Tech Pilot Draw held on September 22. The province has issued invitations through the Skilled Worker and International Graduates subcategories of the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams. Only those candidates have received an ITA under the Tech Pilot who had a job offer from a list of 29 qualified technological occupations. Also, candidates required a minimum provincial score of 80 in order to receive an invitation through the subcategories of the BC PNP. Since May 22, the minimum required provincial score has remained in the 80s only. So, this might be an appropriate time to apply for the tech pilot as you don’t have to worry about the rise in score.

After completing these steps, a candidate is eligible to apply for the BC PNP Tech Pilot. Candidates who apply through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories of BC are given points based on human capital and economic factors. September has been a productive month for British Columbia as the province has already held 6 draws through its multiple streams and categories of the Provincial Nominee Program. It has issued around 1,000 invitations to candidates to secure an opportunity for a provincial nomination.
