Recent figures on Canada’s population show that immigration has increased the number of Canadians who use other languages to speak instead of French and English.
According to the statistical data of Canada, “the number of Canadians who spoke principally a South Asian language, such as Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi or Malayalam at home, increased dramatically from 2016 to 2021, a growth spurred by immigration.”
The population of Canada expanded by 5.2% between 2016 and 2021. And a considerable increase in South Asian languages spoken at home was seen among Canadians. Speakers of Malayalam (up 129% to 35,000), Hindi (up 66% to 92,000), Punjabi (up 49% to 520,000), and Gujarati (up 43% to 92,000) were among those who increased in number.
In actuality, South Asian-speaking speaking people increased at an annual rat. That was a minimum of eight times faster than that of the overall Canadian population.
Ways to migrate to Canada
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Express Entry are the two main pathways to immigrating to Canada. If you want to move to Canada from a South Asian Country you can go through this.
About Express Entry
An online procedure for applying for immigration is called Express Entry. The ability to create a profile and qualify as a skilled immigrant is provided. ITA for permanent residency is extended to the top-ranked candidates. It manages three main immigration programs that are FSWP (Federal Skilled Workers Program), CEC (Canadian Experience Class), and FSTP (Federal Skilled Trade Program).
Applicants who want to move to Canada through these programs have to fulfill the requirement of any one of these programs.
Qualified candidates get the score through the CSR (Comprehensive Ranking System). Prior to applying, an applicant must declare their desire in settling in Canada permanently.
