Six Canadian provinces British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and New Brunswick, released the latest PNP draw results. Qualified applicants received ITAs by Canadian provinces through their PNP draws.
To identify and choose candidates for economic immigration, every Canadian province and territory has established Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Because immigration responsibilities are shared between the federal and provincial governments, these programs allow provinces to nominate individuals based on their specific economic priorities.
Quebec’s arrangement with the federal government is distinctive, granting the province complete autonomy in selecting and determining the number of economic immigrants eligible for permanent selection. This unique status is attributed to Quebec’s recognition as a distinct society within Canada, primarily due to being the sole province with French as its primary official language.
Six Canadian provinces released the latest PNP draw results between September 22-29
Ontario
As part of its Ontario Immigrant Nomination Program (OINP), Ontario extended invitations this week to candidates.
It is estimated that 1,696 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) have been issued to individuals eligible for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). A minimum score of 350 to 462 was required for the drawing, which targeted healthcare professionals specifically.
Following professions were covered by NOIs:
- Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
- Nursing coordinators and supervisors
- Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
- Licensed practical nurses
- General practitioners and family physicians
British Columbia
More than 204 PNP applicants received invitations from British Columbia in its weekly draw. This draw, which was held on September 26, was divided into four smaller, more focused drawings for candidates who were International Graduates and Skilled Workers, including those in the Express Entry pool.
Focusing on applicants working in occupations related to technology was the event’s main draw. These applicants needed a minimum SIRS score of 90 in order to be considered.
The invitations for the following three draws followed a similar pattern, including 28 invitations for healthcare professionals and 49 invitations for early childcare educators and helpers. Less than five invitations were also sent to applicants for other priority jobs. Candidates have to have a minimum SIRS score of 60 in order to be invited to any of these draws.
Quebec
1 018 candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker category were invited to apply for permanent selection in Quebec’s latest Arrima draw.
As part of this draw, candidates were not invited from a broad range of occupations. But rather from diverse backgrounds, such as technology, healthcare, and education.
It was necessary for candidates to score at least 579 points and attain level 7 oral proficiency in French as determined by the Échelle québécoise desniveaux de competency en français des Personnes Immigrants Adultes or its equivalent.n
Manitoba
As part of a targeted recruitment initiative, Manitoba invited 1,072 candidates in the Skilled Workers Overseas category on September 28.
The province’s selection process specifically took into account candidates who had expressed their employment in a regulated occupation. As well as possessed full licensure to work within Manitoba. It’s noteworthy that this particular draw excluded candidates who had previously received an Invitation to Apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Alberta
The Dedicated Healthcare Pathway was opened to 18 Express Entry candidates on September 26 if they had a job offer in Alberta.
Applicants in both Alberta and federal Express Entry draws had to meet a minimum CRS score of 311 in order to qualify for consideration. Previously, 16 candidates were selected for the healthcare draw. A total of 1,462 invitations are anticipated to be issued in this stream for 2023, according to Alberta.
New Brunswick
As of August, the results of the provincial Express Entry program have been published in New Brunswick. Provincial lottery results are typically released at the same time for the entire month.
A total of 175 Express Entry candidates were invited to New Brunswick in August. It is depending on the stream of the PNP. Compared to July’s results, there were almost 90 fewer invitations this time around. The August results are as follows:
- 58 invitations were issued through the New Brunswick Employment Connection stream.
- 130 invitations were extended through the New Brunswick Student Connection stream.
- 71 invitations were granted through the New Brunswick Occupation-In-Demand Connection stream.
