The latest passport design is made in such a way that it prevents any breach of personal identity. Fraser even emphasized the document to have a Polycarbonate data page. Moreover, the personal details of the passport holder will now have a laser engraving, devoid of any ink printing format. This specific technique will further make the page more durable, with increased capacity to protect against any fraud activity like tampering.
Besides this, the passport holder’s secondary photo will be visible through a custom see-through window. This image will be a changeable laser picture with a unique ink feature reflecting temperature sensitivity.
Fraser even described the design as a document personifying the natural heritage of Canada. Moreover, this particular design results from the collective opinions of numerous stakeholders.
He even stated that there is always going to be a need to renew the designs of these Canadian passports to bring forth an advanced level of security.
Minister Gould has observed that during the summertime, several Canadians will be the recipients of the former version of the Canadian passports. However, they must not feel anxious because these versions will remain valid and secure.
This version of passports will reflect a variety of Canadian landscapes, along with different individuals experiencing four seasons.
Passport Canada went through exceptional processing delays due to the recent strike. This strike negatively affected a lot of workers, nearly 155,000 federal workers.
A few weeks, such as April 17 to 23 and April 24 to 30, saw that the number of applications reduced massively by 45 percent.
The application procedure concerning a Canadian passport
