Until 2021, at least 10,000 invitations for immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination by the Canadian province of British Columbia.
The draw was held on October 19th this year where 85 skilled tech workers received PNP invitations through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
The BC PNP is an economic immigration pathway that is used to lure the skilled profession to work and stay in British Columbia. The skilled workers are required to meet all the eligibility criteria in order to have the liberty to stay in Canada as a permanent resident.
The eligibility criteria for be in order to receive invitation for the BC tech Draw one must be entitled for the British Columbia’s Express Entry and Skill Immigration programs. Both of these programs are formulated by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
The candidates were majorly from the Skilled Workers and International Graduates categories respectively with a minimum requirement of 75 points.
All those who were fortunate enough to receive the Invitation to Apply ITA have a notice period of one month that is 30 days to apply for the provincial nomination.
In total, the province of British Columbia so far has issued an estimated 10,000 ITAs to potential candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
