Quebec Conducts Arrima Draw After Six Months

Quebec held the first draw of 2020 in January. Post which the autonomous province did not conduct any draw. Now, Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration has come up with the details of the latest draw held on June 18, 2020. Quebec issued seven invitations to apply for a Certificate of selection by Quebec (CSQ). These candidates were already living in Quebec on the basis of a work or study permit. Though the province has sent invitations to a few candidates only, however, this draw suggests that now Quebec is in a position to open immigration for candidates. One of the quintessential conditions to be invited was that candidates had a work or study permit or they were temporary residents in Quebec when they applied for Quebec Immigration.

How to Immigrate to Quebec?

Immigrating to Quebec is possible through the Regular Skilled Worker Program. First, you are required to submit an expression of interest with the Arrima. It is an online portal that manages immigration applications. Your profile is then assessed by the MIFI. And if you meet the labor market needs and the eligibility criteria, the province will issue an invitation to you. The immigration ministry of Quebec sends invitations to select candidates for permanent residence depending on the candidate’s score in the Values test and labor market requirements.
