Express Entry Category
The Express Entry Category of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program is aligned with the federal Express Entry System.
Every Provincial Nominee Program of Canada has an express entry aligned stream. The Express Entry System accepts the immigration applications through the three major economy-class programs: Canadian Experience Class, Foreign Skilled Worker, and Foreign Skilled Trades.Candidates are given a Comprehensive Ranking System score on the basis of the points they score through human capital factors. Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are worthy of getting 600 extra points in their overall CRS score. And it increases their chances of securing an ITA for Canadian Permanent Residence in the next Express Entry DrwaTo get a provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island, express entry candidates have to create an Expression of Interest profile separately for the PEI PNP.Then, the highest-scoring candidates in the PEI’s points grid are invited by the province to apply for a provincial nomination. In the latest PEI PNP draw, the province neither has disclosed the minimum EOI score that was needed to receive an invitation nor the number of invitations issued.
Labor Impact Category
If foreign nationals have a job offer from an employer based in PEI, they can apply through the Labor Impact Category. There are three streams in this category – International Graduate, Skilled Worker, and Critical Worker.
Candidates must submit their Expression of Interest profiles with the PEI PNP so that they can be considered by the province for nomination.
Business Impact Category
PEI has invited 32 candidates through the Business Impact Category. These candidates required a minimum score of 102 in the latest draw. In the previous draw of August, the minimum score required was 112. So, the score has reduced significantly in this draw.
Further, the province has issued invitations to those candidates who want to start their business in PEI.
