New process for Ontario Immigrants
If you want to immigrate to Ontario through the OINP, you can now submit an EOI profile anytime. Earlier, you had to register only when the province opened its portal. After you create your profile, the province will give you a score. Then, Ontario will announce a cut-off score and will invite immigration candidates with scores higher than the cut-off score. Invited candidates become eligible to apply for Ontario’s provincial nomination. Also, please note that simply submitting an Expression of Interest does not mean that you will surely receive an invitation. You will get a notification from the authorities if you are selected for an invitation. The EOI registration will be effective for 12 months. If you did not receive an invitation for 12 months, the profile will automatically be deleted. There is no fee for the EOI registration. However, if you are invited by the province, you would be required to pay fees when you submit the complete application. Also, receiving an invitation is just one step in the process of securing a provincial nomination. Ontario will nominate you only if you meet all the eligibility criteria of the OINP stream.Steps for registering an Expression of Interest
Step one: create your profile in the e-Filling Portal of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. Step two: Read all the eligibility requirements and make sure that you meet the conditions stated for a particular stream. Step 3: You can register for more than one stream but can create only one EOI profile.Scoring Points for EOI system
