In the recent Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program draw, the province of Ontario issued 1,031 invitations to express entry candidates.
Invited candidates required to exhibit work experience in one of the 18 targeted occupations. And all of them had profiles in the express entry pool. The Comprehensive System Score requirement was between 458 and 467. So, candidates who had work experience in the required occupations were eligible to receive invitations.
Ontario invited candidates under the HCP stream
The province has invited express entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities Stream of the OINP. Under this stream, foreign workers get an opportunity to find work in Canada’s most famous province and settle there permanently.
List of targeted occupations
The OINP has listed 18 occupations for this draw. Candidates with valid work experience in one of the following occupations received an invite in this draw:
- Administrative service managers;
- Engineering managers;
- Corporate sales managers;
- Healthcare managers;
- Managers in Banking, investment, and credit;
- Restaurant and foodservice managers;
- Transportation managers;
- Human resource professionals;
- Opticians;
- Business management consulting occupations;
- Licensed nurses;
- Registered nurses and psychiatric nurses;
- Manufacturing managers;
- Actuaries, mathematicians, and statisticians;
- Marketing, advertising, and PR managers;
- Business services managers;
- Construction managers;
- Medical laboratory technologists.
Ontario’s Express Entry HCP stream
This immigration stream allows foreign workers with good language proficiency and required skilled work experience to apply for a provincial nomination through the OINP, and live in the province of Ontario after receiving a permanent resident status from the government of Canada.
A candidate needs to ensure that he or she has a valid Express Entry profile before applying to the OINP.
