Ontario Issued 758 Invitations to Express Entry Candidates

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has issued Notifications of Interest to 758 Express Entry candidates under the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream. It is the second OINP draw for skilled trades stream this year. The first draw was held in the month of April. With this draw, Ontario has invited around 948 candidates under the Skilled Trades Stream this year. Also, this latest draw has issued the largest number of invitations since January 18, 2018. A set number of nominations are allocated to every province in Canada. The allocation of Ontario is 7,600 applicants for the year 2020. This also includes 250 nominations which are reserved for temporary workers belonging to the National Occupation Classification skill level C. Also Read: How to Move to Canada through Express Entry? Last year, 7,391 applicants got provincial nomination from Ontario and more than half of them were Express Entry candidates.

OINP- Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream

Skilled Trades Stream, aligned with the federal Express Entry System, is a part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. It invites skilled trades workers who have work experience in any of the eligible trades.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:

Have an Express Entry profile
Must be eligible for Canadian Experience Class
Should have received Notification of Interest from Ontario
