Ontario Invited candidates from 14 Skilled Trade Occupations

Ontario has sent Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to 190 Express Entry candidates under the Federal Skilled Trade (FST) through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates belonging to targeted skilled trade occupations and who have created their express entry profiles between April 29, 2019, and April 29, 2020, have received invitations from Ontario in the draw held on April 29. Lately, Ontario has invited 26 entrepreneurs through its Entrepreneur Stream draw.

List of targeted occupations

Ontario has selected candidates who have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes:

NOC 7235: Fabricators and fitters of structural meta and plate work
NOC 7236: Ironworkers
NOC 7241: Electricians
NOC 7244: Electrical power line and cable workers
NOC 7252: Steamfitters, sprinkler system installers, and pipefitters
NOC 7271: Carpenters
NOC 7282: Concrete finishers
NOC 7291: Roofers
NOC 7302: Contractors, supervisors and heavy equipment operators
NOC 7312: Heavy-duty equipment mechanics
NOC 7313: Refrigeration and AC mechanics
NOC 7316: Machine fitters
NOC 7381: Elevator constructors and mechanics
NOC 7371: Crane operators

Skilled workers in the above-mentioned occupations are in high demand in Ontario. To be nominated by the province, candidates must demonstrate work experience in any of these occupations. If an applicant fails to show the required work experience, his or her application will be refused by the province.

About Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
