Provincial Nominee programs, simply, allow candidates to migrate to Canada and nominate them to settle in the province they apply for nomination. Candidates are selected in accordance with the market needs of a particular province. The Nova Scotia Nominee program targets skilled and experienced workers who are required to meet the market demand of the province. There are several streams involved in this program. Out of these streams, some of them are express entry aligned streams. This means that through these streams, candidates are selected from numerous express entry profiles to apply for provincial nomination.Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities:
The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities is one of the express entry-aligned streams of the NSNP. This dynamic stream, launched in 2018, selects only those candidates who meet the special requirements of the labour market. In each invitation round, candidates who are associated with some specified skilled occupations are invited by the NSNP. So far, Labour Market Priorities stream has invited candidates belonging to occupations such as social workers, auditors, accountants, among others. The recent invitation round has invited 144 candidates through Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream. This time the province of Nova Scotia desires candidates who have work experience in Marketing, Advertising or Public relations. And the National Occupation Code (NOC) 1123 is the additional requirement.Requirements to qualify for the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream:
- English should be selected as the first official language by the candidates.
- A Canadian language benchmark (CLB) score 0f 9 or higher is must.
- A master’s degree along with the proof issued by the concerned institution is essential.
- A job offer from a canadian employer is not required but selected candidates need to have a minimum of two years work experience in the fields of marketing, advertising or public relations. Additionally, they must provide letters of reference from their employers.
- Candidates who have submitted their profiles on the express entry system on or after 1st January, 2019 are eligible.
