Newfoundland and Labrador extends invitations for PNP & AIP, i.e., on 10 July, the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) announced that it has issued more than 300 invitations to apply (ITAs) to foreign nationals who can help strengthen the province’s economy and communities.
These invitations were sent out through both the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). Together, these pathways are designed to attract skilled workers and help fill key labour shortages across various sectors in the province.
Immigration Results — 10 July
In this latest draw, the province distributed a total of 359 invitations through its two major immigration pathways:
| Immigration Pathway | Invitations Issued |
| NLPNP | 300 |
| AIP | 59 |
To qualify for an invitation in this round, candidates needed to meet two main requirements:
- Hold a valid job or job offer in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Have an employer invitation code if required
Note: Candidates with valid work authorization in Canada do not need an employer invitation code for the NLPNP. However, a code is necessary for those who need job vacancy assessments and for all AIP candidates.
It is important for interested individuals to understand that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) submitted without proof of employment or a valid job offer, or that do not include an employer invitation code (when needed), will not be eligible for an ITA under these pathways.
Immigration Priorities
Newfoundland and Labrador extends invitations for PNP & AIP. Well, the OIM emphasizes that only candidates whose EOI profiles align with the labour market needs and broader goals of Newfoundland and Labrador will be considered for invitations.
To help guide potential applicants, the province has published a list of priority occupations that are exempt from provincial labour market testing and will receive priority for nomination under both the NLPNP and the AIP.

By focusing on targeted occupations and aligning immigration efforts with labour market demands, Newfoundland and Labrador continues to attract skilled newcomers ready to make a positive impact on the province’s workforce and communities.
