The majority of Canadian provinces recently revealed the results of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, giving applicants for permanent residence in Canada excellent reason to smile.
Apart from Nunavut and Quebec, most provinces and territories of Canada run their own PNP draw through which interested individuals may be invited to submit an application for provincial nomination. The likelihood of gaining permanent resident status can be greatly increased by provincial nomination, even though it is not the same as permanent residency in and of itself. For instance, candidates for the PNP who have Express Entry profiles will see their score increase by 600 points if they are nominated. Additionally, they meet the requirements to be invited to apply for a PNP round that is invitation-only.
When the PNP was first founded in 1998, it only admitted 400 immigrants; but, as a result of its popularity, it now accepts more than 80,000 immigrants annually. The growth in PNP admission in Canada is attributable to the fact that both the federal and provincial governments see it as a useful tool for advancing the nation’s economic development.
The Express Entry draw was conducted Every two weeks. All programs of Express Entry are now being conducted by the IRCC after a long hiatus. There are 1500 Express Entry was invited with a minimum of 557 CRS points in the first Express Entry draw which was conducted by IRCC on 6 July. A total of 1,750 invites were given out in the most recent Express Entry draw, which took place on 20 July.
