On September 10, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program invited 508 candidates who had completed post-secondary education in Manitoba or whose spouses had graduated from a Manitoba institution.
The province also selected 233 healthcare workers, 11 French-speaking candidates, and 41 candidates through strategic recruitment initiatives.
Candidates who received a Letter of Advice to Apply have 60 days to submit a complete provincial nomination application.
Moreover, those who receive a provincial nomination can later apply to the federal government for permanent residence. Eligible nominees in Manitoba may also request a work permit support letter and use it to apply for a work permit.
After submitting a permanent residence application, some provincial nominees may qualify for a bridging open work permit.
Candidates who remain in Manitoba’s Expression of Interest pool may also qualify for temporary work permit measures if they meet specific conditions, including having an eligible Manitoba support letter and a qualifying work permit history.

A total of 793 Letters of Advice to Apply were issued in the draw. Of these, 272 went to candidates who had declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Skilled Worker In Manitoba
The province issued 752 invitations through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway. Candidates were selected through three main categories.
1) Completion Of Post-Secondary Education In Manitoba
Candidates needed to show that they or their spouse had graduated from a post-secondary institution in Manitoba. They also needed an Expression of Interest score of at least 825.
Selected candidates must provide their diploma and transcript when applying for provincial nomination.
2) Employment In A Healthcare Occupation
Manitoba also invited top-scoring candidates who were currently working in the province in healthcare-related occupations.
The selection included occupations under Broad Occupational Category 3 of Canada’s National Occupational Classification system. This category covers professional healthcare jobs, technical healthcare roles, direct patient-care positions, and specialized healthcare management.
3) Francophones
The province issued 11 invitations to candidates who met its French-language requirements.
Candidates needed to identify French as their language of communication with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program and provide valid French-language test results.
Skilled Worker Stream
Manitoba issued 41 invitations to skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas through strategic recruitment.
These candidates had indicated that they had been invited through a strategic recruitment initiative or under the former temporary public policy for prospective provincial nominee candidates.
The recruitment initiatives included employer services, Francophone communities, ethnocultural communities, and regional communities.
