Immigration candidates can apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence now as Canada has conducted a new Express Entry Draw. Canada has resumed holding all-program express entry draws after conducting program-specific draws for a few months due to the coronavirus travel restrictions. The IRCC has invited as many as 4,200 express entry candidates in the third consecutive all-program draw. These 4,200 candidates can now submit their complete documents and apply for permanent residence in Canada. Immigrants under the Federal Skilled Worker program have waited for a long time for the express entry draw as Canada invited Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program candidates only for some months. Moreover, the Comprehensive Ranking System score has also decreased by one point in this draw. Skilled workers required a CRS score of 471 in order to receive an ITA for Canada PR. Canada is now issuing a large number of invitations to immigration candidates. In all three previous all-program draws, the government has issued 4,200 invitations. The tie-breaking rule was applied in this draw. The tie-break date and time were March 2, 2020, at 12:37:25 UTC. So, candidates who have submitted their express entry profiles before the tie-break date and time and who had a CRS score of 471 and above were invited by the IRCC in this draw. One of the noteworthy facts about immigration is that Canada has already issued 78,350 ITAs this year. Canada invited nearly 69,420 express entry candidates in 2017 by this time of the year. So, one can say that despite the coronavirus, 2020 seems to be a record-breaking year for express entry.

CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM

Express Entry System is an electronic process to select candidates for acquiring permanent residence in Canada. Express Entry selects those candidates who belong to the below-mentioned economy class programs:

Canadian Experience Class;
Federal Skilled Worker;
Federal Skilled Trades.

Candidates are eligible to take part in the Express Entry draw only when they belong to these three listed federal programs. Moreover, some of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are also aligned with the Express Entry. It gives an added advantage to those candidates who participate in the Express Entry draw via PNPs because they get an additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.
