On April 27, 829 Express Entry candidates are invited by Canada to apply for PR of Canada.
Those candidates who are invited received a nomination form which is Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and also had a CSR score which is at least 772. The Express Entry candidate can get 600 points which are automatically added to their score at the time of receiving provincial nomination which makes the minimum score relatively high.
FSWP and CEC draws will start again in July
Last week, it is announced by the Immigration Minister of Canada that Express Entry draws will start again in July for FSWP and CEC candidates. And also, the application for new Express Entry will be processed under the six-month service standard.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Only CEC candidates were invited by IRCC to achieve their goal of the highest immigration in a year. Last year Canada landed 405,000 permanent residents by using this strategy.
The negative point of IRCC’s strategy is that it has resulted in backlogs in the immigration system and Express Entry. As such, IRCC has stopped inviting FSWP candidates since December 2020.
Due to the lack invitation of from FSWP and CEC candidates, Canada is dealing with the low unemployment and also recorded high job vacancies.
FSWP was launched in 1967, and from its beginning, until recently FSWP becomes the main and most attractive national skilled migrant to move to Canada. IRCC aims to invite 55,000 PR candidates through Express Entry, which is half of its target in 2021. Before this year, for new economic-class immigrants, the Express Entry was the lead pathway to move to Canada.
IRCC is again planning to welcome more than 110,000 migrants through Express Entry Programs by 2024.
Express Entry Program
Express Entry Program processes the immigration application online. The three most popular programs that are managed by Express Entry are FSWP (Federal Skilled workers program), CEC (Canadian Experience Class), and FSTP (Federal Skilled Trade Program).
The process of a candidate’s profile ranking is based on the CRS point which is used in the Express Entry system. The candidates who got the highest score in this process receive an ITA through IRCC and then they can apply for PR in Canada.
Once the candidate applies for the PR in Canada, the officer of IRCC checks the application and rechecks all the information that you provide in the Express Entry profile. May the IRCC officer ask you for more documents or an interview or maybe he will ask you for a biometric verification also.
You will get the confirmation PR by IRCC when your application is approved. Then you are able to complete the landing process, if you are outside of Canada, then you can access the pre-arrival service that helps to complete the first step.
