A total of 761 candidates were invited by the Maple country through the Express Entry System on 29th September, this year.
The candidates who were invited were nominated under the PNP Provincial Nominee Program before. This resulted in their bagging an extra 600 points which was then later added to their original score. In all The candidates only need at least 742 to be eligible to receive an invitation.
Earlier, the lowest score was 732 and 521 PNP candidates were also invited by the IRCC.
These times are drawn by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada are not just larger but also have a higher cutoff level which means the pool is filled with high-scoring candidates with the Provincial Nominee Class.
The Recorded number of ITAs
This year, there were more candidates to apply for permanent residence. IRCC had issued 107,350 ITA last year through the Express Entry system. Since January this year, a total of 108,000 invitations have been issued by the Canadian government.
The burst of ITAs popped up on 13th February when the immigration department of Canada, IRCC sent out invitations to all CEC candidates present in the Express Entry pool.
There were only draws held this year which were the CEC and PNP draws. This resulted in the least score cutoff fluctuate. For instance, a pattern has been seen that every time there is a Provincial Nomination draw, The minimum score required to get a Canadian PR was more. All PNP-nominated candidates are awarded a total of 600 points. Usually, CEC draws have a lower cutoff as the candidates eligible for this pathway do not compete with any other candidates in other programs. Although, if a small CEC draw is held the cutoff score will increase.
About Express Entry
Express Entry is the most Prominent Canadian PR Visa pathway. The Express Entry System takes control of the three popular programs for immigration that are: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and the New Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Express Entry Pool eligible candidates can apply in any one of these programs. They are nominated for a provincial nomination with an awarded score of 600.
A specialized CRS Comprehensive Ranking System is made to rank the candidate’s profiles and is used by Express Entry to decide on selected candidates.
Only the highest-scoring candidates will get an ITA to then apply for a permanent residency in Canada.
Later, the application forms go in the hands of an IRCC official who considers choosing a particular candidate. They will require the candidate’s biometrics and other documents to complete the process.
If fortunately, a candidate’s application is approved by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) is granted, and then approved PR candidates can make their landing in Canada. There are pre-arrival services available to help a more smooth transition between the countries.
