Express Entry 151st Draw: Provincial Nominee Candidates Invited

The latest Express Entry draw, held on June 10, invited 341 express entry candidates under the Provincial Nominee Class. So, candidates who already had a provincial nomination from any Canadian province were invited in this draw to apply for a Canadian Permanent Residence. This is the 7th express entry draw that has invited PNP candidates. From three months Canada has been targeting Provincial Nominee Class and Canadian Experience Class candidates only in each express entry draw. Also Read: How to Move to Canada through Express Entry? The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score required to secure an invitation was 743. As the candidates had 600 extra points owing to the provincial nominations that they had secured, they required only 143 points more based on the human capital factors to receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply). As per the tie-break rule, only those candidates were invited who submitted their express entry profiles before April 14, 2020, at 13:25:51 UTC and had a CRS score of 743 and above.

Express Entry: Leading Immigration System

Introduced in 2015 to fast-track the processing times for immigrant visa applications, the Express Entry system is one of the best immigration programs globally. It allows new immigrants to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the following three economy class programs:

Federal Skilled Trades

Federal Skilled Worker

Canadian Experience Class

Apart from these three programs, the nine provinces and two territories of Canada have at least one express entry aligned immigration stream under the Provincial Nominee Programs through which a candidate can apply for permanent residence in a particular province or territory of their choice. IRCC has already conducted 18 Express Entry draws this year and invited a total of 42,441 candidates to apply for permanent residence. It is expected that Canada might start holding express entry draws soon for regular immigration programs as well. So, candidates from overseas can stand a chance to apply for the Express Entry.
